Over two nights at Melbourne’s Forum Theatre we are inviting the best Australian artists to interpret the songs of Paul Kelly, starring Missy Higgins, John Butler, Katy Steele, Bob Evans, Megan Washington, Ozi Batla, Dan Sultan, Paul Dempsey, Dan Kelly, Clare Bowditch, Adalita, Jae Laffer plus members of Augie March as backing band and Ashley Naylor from Even as Musical Director.
This year marks Kelly’s 30th anniversary as an artist since his debut single "Recognition" in 1979 making this the perfect moment for triple j to acknowledge and highlight his enormous contribution to Australian music. Paul Kelly has crafted a heartfelt catalogue of songs that speak to successive generations, capturing the essence of what it is to be Australian. His strength as a songwriter andstoryteller has inspired a whole raft of musicians working today.
